​彫刻家　大塚亨

 

1980年岐阜県生まれ。現在、神奈川県在住。

東京芸術大学大学院にて仏像制作、文化財修復を研究し学ぶ。

現在、仏像制作や文化財修復に携わる仕事を行うとともに、それらの伝統文化や古典技術を融合した新たなテイストの彫刻作品を発表している。

これらの作品は、日本の仏像彫刻技法（古典技法）を用いて緻密に再現し、仏像と同じ素材（木彫、漆、金箔、金属など）を使用して制作している。

Sculpture Artist  Toru Otsuka

 

Born in Gifu prefecture in 1980, currently residing in Kanagawa prefecture.

At the Tokyo University of the Arts graduate school, study and study Buddha image production and conservation of cultural property.

Currently, he conducts work involved in Buddha image creation and  conservation of cultural property, as well as presenting sculptures of new tastes that combine these traditional cultures and classical techniques.

These works are precisely reproduced using Buddha statue sculpture technique (classical technique) of Japan and are made using the same material as wooden statue (wooden sculpture, japanese lacquer, gold leaf, metal etc.).
